The mandate of the Weh-Sees Indohoun Corporation, a joint Cree–Hydro-Québec company, is to supervise the sport hunting and fishing activities of the people working on the Eastmain-1-A/Sarcelle/Rupert project, as well as other users in the region. Its main responsibilities are to:

• promote the protection of wildlife and ecosystems;
• control access to wildlife resources and manage harvesting during construction of the
  Eastmain-1-A/Sarcelle/Rupert project; and
• promote the development and diversification of the Cree economy.

The Weh-Sees Indohoun Corporation and the  Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune (MRNF) have worked together to implement a management plan and ensure compliance with the hunting and fishing regulations in effect in the region.

In cooperation of the land users, the management plan will help preserve the region's wildlife heritage for future generations.
